Meadowcroft cottage has sold! The auction ended tonight so on to the next project....
The Green Grocers shop. With the funds from the sale of the last couple of houses I have bought a few new pieces, including another vintage bakery building the same as the one used for the patisserie. I have decided to do this one as a green grocers shop. I have the juice bar set and some of the original units from the bakery that came with the building. I have quite a lot of fruit and veg from various sets but I will probably need a lot more!
I have been looking through all the old catalogues and listings on eBay trying to decide what sort of pieces I want to use to make it look as much like a proper fruit and veg shop as I can. I have a number of options. There's the Juice Bar semi circular display units, the farm shop display, the Sainsbury's shop display unit that looks quite useful and also the rack from the delightful doughnuts set (which if the awning was repainted and baskets added to the racks would make perfect fruit and veg display unit). I suppose I will use whatever I can find cheap or trade for. I will post some photos of the progress as it takes shape.
My replacement Champagne Rabbits arrived and they are lovely!

They are absolutely pristine and the box is in perfect condition too. I am really please with these and very glad that I found them at a reasonable price. I am currently operating on a 'hobby neutral' ethic in terms of buying things. I only buy new things with the credit in my PayPal account from selling other things. This way it does not have any affect on my finances. It also stops impulse purchases and keeps you focused on your aim. I have bought a few sets and then thought "Hang on, why did I buy that when it doesn't fit in anywhere in the collection? I should have bought X,Y or Z instead"
Which brings me around nicely to telling you about the new page I added, The Sylvanian Swap Shop. The idea is that items from me, you, that woman down the street, (well anybody really) can send me a message to tell me what they have to swap, I put up a post and anyone can message if they are interested in negotiating a swap for the item up for grabs. It is not a place to advertise items for sale but intended for people to use to trade for little extras, spares, figures or play sets in exchange for other items they are seeking. Check the drop down menu (under 'More...') for the Swap Shop pages.
